The Lifesaver School PAD Program. This program focuses on raising money through fund-raising, donations from corporations and businesses, and procuring grants to place AEDs in all Washington State Public Schools. We have 296 school districts providing education to over one million students. Our program will help with the purchase and placement of AEDs, provide training to all staff members involved with the Pad Program, and monitor PAD Programs from the inception to ensure there is ongoing training and replacement of AED batteries and Defibrillation Electrodes.
The Lifesaver Community PAD Program
This program will focus on public awareness campaigns about SCA and PAD Programs within each community. Facilitating fund-raising and donations to purchase AEDs is a primary goal of the foundation as well as providing training and monitoring for each location an AED is placed.
1) Community Health Business (Chiropractors, Dentists, Massage Therapists, etc.)
2) Private/Public Services (Police Department, Sheriff Department, Churches, etc.)
3) General Businesses/Organizations (Grocery Stores, Restaurants, Pubs, Convenience Stores, Athletic
Clubs, Sports Clubs, etc.)
The Lifesaver Community PAD Program Coordinator is responsible for outlining the geographical boundary for the selected community’s fire district. Once the boundary is set, the coordinator acquires data which encompasses the three categories of establishments defined in the Lifesaver Community PAD Program. The Coordinator presents and outlines the PAD Program to the community through articles in local newspapers as well as speaking to local civic groups and organizations. The Coordinator would pursue grants for public service entities such as police vehicles, sheriff vehicle and EMS vehicles. All other businesses and organizations would become part of a community effort utilizing fund-raising events and donations from individuals and businesses, all facilitated by the coordinator. After PAD Programs are started, the Community Coordinator oversees all data management to ensure training and that supplies are renewed guaranteeing long term success and preparedness.
